The wonderfully elegant Dona Filipa & San Lorenzo Golf Resort is set in a beautiful and exclusive estate, just 15 minutes from Faro, beside the Vale de Lobo beach overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Offering guests a touch of glamour combined with true quality and highly personalised service this five-star hotel is one of the true gems of the Algarve. The hotel has two superb restaurants (for our three private dinners), a piano bar, tennis courts, a heated outdoor swimming pool and sun terraces. Within a short stroll is the wonderful beach and several excellent restaurants and bars.

The weather in Portugal during late April and early October is usually hot and sunny with daytime temperatures around 75°F.

The beautiful San Lorenzo Golf Course is exclusively reserved for hotel guests who wish to take advantage of playing one of Europe's finest golf courses. A courtesy shuttle takes only a few minutes to transfer hotel guests to/from the San Lorenzo Course.

The course is a combination of natural beauty, pristine presentation and hole after hole of wonderful golf. Having received countless awards, the San Lorenzo Golf Course is considered one of the best golf courses, not only in Europe, but worldwide. While much of the course meanders through typical pine woods, it also opens to magnificent ocean vistas and distant mountain backdrops. The course is virtually an extension of the nature reserve of the Ria Formosa with fairways that run alongside saltwater marshes and freshwater lagoons which are the habitat of over seventy species of birds, including herons, hoopoes, storks, black-winged stilts and rare purple gallinules.

Your holiday includes four rounds of mixed stableford golf over the exclusive and stunningly beautiful San Lorenzo course. On free days you can choose to play golf (at a charge) at other local courses, explore the resort and the local area or simply relax on the terrace, the beach or by the pool.

If you would like flights

to be booked for you we have allowed £125pp for return flights to include, taxes, luggage, golf clubs, booking fees & charges. Flights booked for you are ATOL protected.

Flight prices vary depending on airports, flight times and airlines.

A supplement will be payable if the total cost exceeds £125pp.

Golf

You will play each of the four mixed stableford competitions with your partner and be paired with different couples for each round.

Our aim is to promote

social golf and friendly competition. Prizes are awarded for each round. The overall winners will receive the San Lorenzo Mixed Pairs Trophy.

For each round Ladies use the Ladies Tees and the Ladies Stroke Index.
